Dwarf Traits
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2.
Age. Dwarves mature at the same rate as humans, but they’re considered young until the reach the age of 50. On average, they live about 350 years.
Size. Dwarves stand between 4 and 5 feet tall, and average about 150 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet. Your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.
Darkvision. Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Dwarven Resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Stonecunning. Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of stonework, you are conisdered proficient in the History skill and you double your proficiency bonus to the check.
Subrace. Three main subraces of dwarves populate the world of Garda: the hill dwarves and mountain dwarves of the Shieldback Mountains, and the salt dwarves of the Gilbardi Mountains. Choose one of these subraces.

Hill Dwarf
The hill dwarves of Skjall live in the foothills of the Shieldback Mountains, and mingle freely with the humans there. Livin has made them e their mountain kin.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Dwarven Toughness. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
Skjallic Combat Training. You have proficiency with the battleaxe, handaxe, light hammer, and warhammer.
Seafaring Proficiency. You gain proficiency with a tool or vehicle of your choice: navigator’s tools, vehicles (water), woodcarver’s tools.
Languages. You can speak Skjallic and a common language of your choice.

Mountain Dwarf
The mountain dwarves of the Shieldback Mountains are tall and barrel chested, evidence of a strong warrior tradition spanning generations. They have fine beards and long hair, in vibrant reds and blonds that glow under the mountain sun.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2.
Dwarven Armor Training. You have proficiency with light and medium armor.
Skjallic Combat Training. You have proficiency with the battleaxe, handaxe, light hammer, and warhammer.
Tool Proficiency. You gain proficiency with the artisan’s tools of your choice: smith’s tools, brewer’s supplies, or mason’s tools.
Languages. You can speak Skjallic and a common language of your choice.

Salt Dwarf
The salt dwarves of the Gilded Mountains are shorter than their cousins to the northwest, with noticeably darker skin from years spent sailing under the sun. They tend towards have dark hair and wiry beards, though there are several strains of fair skin with ginger and blond hair, evidence of their norther ancestry.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Gilbardi Combat Training. You have proficiency with the battleaxe, halberd, short sword, and war pick.
Tool Proficiency. You gain proficiency with tools of your choice: mason’s tools, jeweller’s tools, or navigator’s tools.
Gilded Tongue. Whenever you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check to haggle over the cost of goods or an agreement or to adjust the terms of a contract you are considered proficient in the Persuasion skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check.
Languages. You can speak Gilbardi and a common language of your choice.
